چکیده

The collection of convex subsets of a multipartite tournament T forms a lattice C(T ). Given a lattice structure for C(T ), we deduce properties of T . In particular, we find conditions under which we can detect clones in T . We also determine conditions on the lattice which will imply that T is bipartite, except for a few cases. We classify the ambiguous cases. Finally, we study a property of C(T ) we call the anti-bipartite condition. We prove a result on directed cycles in multipartite tournaments satisfying the anti-bipartite condition, and determine the minimum number of partitions in such multipartite tournaments. Convex $L$-lattice subgroups in $L$-ordered groups

In this paper, we have focused to study convex $L$-subgroups of an $L$-ordered group. First, we introduce the concept of a convex $L$-subgroup and a convex $L$-lattice subgroup of an $L$-ordered group and give some examples. Then we find some properties and use them to construct convex $L$-subgroup generated by a subset $S$ of an $L$-ordered group $G$ . Also, we generalize a well known result a...

On fuzzy convex lattice-ordered subgroups

In this paper, the concept of fuzzy convex subgroup (resp. fuzzy convex lattice-ordered subgroup) of an ordered group (resp. lattice-ordered group) is introduced and some properties, characterizations and related results are given. Also, the fuzzy convex subgroup (resp. fuzzy convex lattice-ordered subgroup) generated by a fuzzy subgroup (resp. fuzzy subsemigroup) is characterized. Furthermore,...

Transitive convex subsets in large tournaments

A convex subset of vertices of a tournament T is such that any vertex not in the subset either dominates or is dominated by all of the vertices in the convex subset. Given a large tournament T , we explore the structure of T by looking for its transitive convex subsets. In a majority voting tournament some isolated inconsistencies may appear in such subsets. We propose a way to reveal such “nea...

A convex combinatorial property of compact sets in the plane and its roots in lattice theory

K. Adaricheva and M. Bolat have recently proved that if $,mathcal U_0$ and $,mathcal U_1$ are circles in a triangle with vertices $A_0,A_1,A_2$, then there exist $jin {0,1,2}$ and $kin{0,1}$ such that $,mathcal U_{1-k}$ is included in the convex hull of $,mathcal U_kcup({A_0,A_1, A_2}setminus{A_j})$. One could say disks instead of circles. Here we prove the existence of such a $j$ and $k$ ...

Almost all almost regular c-partite tournaments with cgeq5 are vertex pancyclic

A tournament is an orientation of a complete graph and a multipartite or c-partite tournament is an orientation of a complete c-partite graph. If D is a digraph, then let d + (x) be the outdgree and d ? (x) the indegree of the vertex x in D. The minimum (maximum) out-degree and the minimum (maximum) indegree of D are denoted by + ((+) and ? ((?), respectively. In addition, we deene = minf + ; ?...
